Skyline Is (Soft) Opened
The reimagined dining space is open to faculty, staff, and students at different times from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily

As of Tuesday, September 5, Skyline is re-opened. The venue was redesigned to create a space that encourages dialogue and collaboration and brings back the highly requested lunch buffet. The space will provide greater flexibility for guests for dining and informal gatherings utilizing both lounge and formal seating.

Skyline will now be open Monday through Friday as follows:

  • Morning Social, 8-11 a.m. (faculty and staff)
  • Lunch Buffet, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (faculty, staff, and students)
  • Faculty Lounge, 2-4 p.m.

The Morning Social will operate like an employee lounge, offering complimentary coffee and tea as well as a light breakfast menu. The Lunch Buffet, priced at $12 plus tax, is open to students, employees, and guests, and features daily menus celebrating international and comfort classics. In the afternoon, the space will feel more like a Faculty Lounge for informal socializing or to attend programming and receptions tailored to faculty members.

You may be wondering why this is considered a soft opening. The furniture you see in the renderings has not arrived yet. Though you will see the existing tables and chairs, you will be able to experience Skyline’s new hours and food options.

“Skyline is a unique space and one that we are excited to re-open,” said Diana Heeren, associate vice president for Finance. “Later in the fall semester, we will install the new furniture and the space will fully come to life.”

If you’re interested in catering, Skyline will be available for catered events Monday-Friday after 4 p.m. and on weekends. Reservation requests will be accepted in T-SPACE on Tuesday, September 5. Catering orders may be placed using the Trinity Dining website

Visit Skyline this week to see the potential the space holds for years to come. Welcome back to this iconic space, Tigers!
